The Prime Minister's Employer of the Year Awards recognise employers who hire people with disability.
The Awards are open to all employers of people with disability and anyone can nominate an employer. Employers can self-nominate for the awards. Categories include:
- National Employer (operating in two or more states / territories)
- Large Employer (organisations that employ 100 or more people in only one state or territory)
- Medium Employer (organisations that employ between 19 and 99 people in only one state or territory)
- Small Employer (organisations that employ between one and 19 people in only one state or territory)
- Providers of Australian Government Employment Services
The Pre-eminent Prime Minister's Employer of the Year Award is awarded to one of the winners of the national, large, medium or small employer category.
There is also a hall of fame for employers who have shown leadership and achievement over a number of years.
The awards are held at the end of the year and awarded at a gala ceremony attended by hundreds of people who share your commitment to disability employment. Congratulations to all of the winners of the Prime Minister's Employer of the Year Awards 2007.
